Proposal #3 - Food Photography
This proposal was all about food, and it was a fairly fun one. I got to pose and mess around with different types of food and it was pretty fun. I found out though that I'm not exactly a master chef and I tended to stick to more one and done foods if that makes any sense. Like foods that didn't need to be prepared or anything. The most complicated thing that I made was scrambled eggs. The second being ceral but that was just adding milk to some dry ceral so not exactly fancy nor complicated.
I did have a lot of fun with the macro shots that I did on the different foods, because I was able to see like so much more. For example on some of the foods, like one of the cerals and the strudel that I took pictures of, has bits of sugar that a naked eye wasn't able to see. But with the macro shots that I got I was actually able to see some of the grains and clumps of sugar with I thought was pretty cool.
Another thing that I did/liked about this particular proposal was actually the way that I took the pictures. I used backdrops for almost every single shoot that I did and it was quite fun for some reason. I guess maybe it made it feel more real or something like that but either way I really enjoyed using backdrops. I also used artifical lighting for basically every single photo shoot as well. That allowed me to control the shadows and lighting which was pretty nice because I was really able to get the kind of photos that I wanted.
These are six of my favorite photos from this shoot and lastly underneath is a link to all the different work in progesses for this whole proposal.
